IELTS Speaking Practice Test 8


Lesson Structure

  • The IELTS Speaking test usually takes between 11-14 minutes.
  • In this lesson, your tutor will act as an IELTS examiner and will ask you questions based on the IELTS Speaking test.
  • At the end, your tutor will give you some feedback.


Exercise 1

Part 1

Answer these questions based on Part 1 of the IELTS Speaking test. This part of the test usually takes 4-5 minutes.


Let's talk about Crime.

1. Is crime a big problem in your city/country?

2. Have you ever been a victim of crime?

3. What crime is common in your city/country?


Let's talk about famous people.

4.Have you ever met a famous person?

5.Which famous person would you like to meet? Why?

6.Would you like to be famous? Why? Why not?


Let's talk about the news.

7.Where do you usually get your news?

8.Do you spend a lot of time reading, watching, or listening to the news?

9.Which of your friends or family is most interested in the news?



Exercise 2

Part 2

Complete this task based on Part 2 of the IELTS Speaking test. You have 1 minute to prepare your response and up to 2 minutes to speak. Your tutor will stop you when the time is up.


Describe a place where you like to buy or eat food.

You should say:

  • where it is
  • how often you go and what you buy there
  • what it is like

And say why you like buying or eating food there.

Exercise 3

Part 3

Answer these questions based on Part 3 of the IELTS Speaking test. Your tutor will stop asking questions after 5 minutes.
