DIALOGUE

In this lesson, your tutor will help you go over this topic: Your Hometown. First, read the following dialogue out loud with your tutor, then switch roles and try again.

Kevin and Dorothy are talking about her hometown.

Devin:		Emily, where is your hometown?
Emily:		I am from Los Angeles, but I live in San Francisco now. Have you been to LA?
Devin:		Of course. Why did you move from LA to SF?
Emily:		I moved because I got a job in SF.
Devin:		I see. What is your hometown like?
Emily:		It is in the suburbs just outside of LA. It’s a small town but it is famous for its beach.
Devin:		That sounds very nice!
Emily:		Let me know when you visit LA. You can stay at my place.
Devin:		Thanks! That’s very kind of you.
Emily:		There isn’t much to show you around, but it will be fun to hang out with you in a different city!
