DIALOGUE
Emily and Devin are talking about being surprised.

Emily: Devin, something unexpected happened to me today. My purse was stolen.

Devin: You’re joking, right?

Emily: No, I’m not. I was shocked!

Devin: Unbelievable! What happened?

Emily: I was at the supermarket buying food. I was unaware that my purse was still in the cart, and I drove away.

Devin: No way!

Emily: My jaw dropped when I couldn’t find my purse in the car.

Devin: I’m sure you were stunned.

Emily: It amazes me why people have to steal things.

Devin: I don’t like surprises. The other day my wife dropped a bombshell on me. She told me she’s pregnant.
